About Scott

Hello Friends,

It has been a pleasure to represent the Fourth Ward and all the citizens of our little city-by-the-bay these past four years. We’ve accomplished much since 2020 to make our community more resilient:

  • Spending approximately $2,500,000 a year to rehabilitate our roadways, and upgrading our cherished parks through city and grant funds.

  • Approved sites for the development of 100’s of affordable housing units.

  • Continue to improve our century old sewer and water systems to make them more resilient to natural disasters and climate change.

  • Improved the pay and working conditions of our police, fire, and all city personnel.

  • Working with the county and other local communities to develop and approve a Climate Action Plan.

  • In the planning process of building our Bay-to-Zoo trail, which will allow our citizens to travel from the Bay trail, through the Second Slough corridor, and up to Sequoia Zoo with minimal interactions with vehicles and busy roadways.

  • Working hard to secure enough short term housing to provide for our community members experiencing homelessness.

  • Redesigned our response to citizens in mental health crisis by supporting and funding CSET, UPLIFT, and the use of trained mental health clinicians.

There is still much to do to keep Eureka on a course toward a resilient and thriving community. It needs proven leadership that will continue to fight for sensible policies, work hard to maintain a balanced city budget, and work with our state legislators to provide the revenue we need to expand housing inventory and implement climate change policy. I pledge to work hard work for you to build a prosperous future for this place we love.

Please re-elect me to the Eureka City Council, Fourth Ward when you vote on November 5th.
